City of Boston: When Mayor Thomas M. Menino launched the Boston Main Streets program in 1995, he knew it would take a great deal of support to keep the individual organizations running. We are grateful to have an entire Boston Main Streets office dedicated to assisting organizations like ours. From supporting us financially, to offering incentives that we can in turn offer to our business owners, to educating our staff and volunteers about historic preservation, the City of Boston and Boston Main Streets help us in immeasurable ways.
Citizens Bank/The Boston Main Streets Foundation: Citizens Bank is UCMS’ Corporate Sponsor. In 2008, they made a significant 5-year financial commitment to our organization which has enabled us to take our work to the next level. Even prior to their commitment, Citizens Bank already was participating with UCMS in significant ways. Now, Citizens Bank is represented on our Board of Directors, they have led the way for sponsors at our recent events, the local branch has hosted our events, and branch staff has done everything from joining committees, to flyering, to managing events. We are grateful for the support we have received from all levels of the Bank.
Staples: Staples is UCMS’ Corporate Buddy. In 2004, Staples made a significant long-term commitment to support UCMS at a time when the organization needed their support. Since then, Staples has not only remained one of our leading financial supporters, members of their staff have served in leadership positions in our organization, including Board President and Chair of the Economic Restructuring Committee. Staples has been a key supporter of UCMS’ Business Networking Breakfast series, sponsoring many of the breakfasts (including the first three), presenting at a breakfast, designing marketing and other material for the breakfasts, providing prizes for guests, and more. Staples has found a way to fill a need for UCMS in every one of our programs and we thank Staples for its unwavering support.
